The past 2 years marked an era of unprecedented change, as a global pandemic proved how interconnected we are - with the global ecosystems that we interfere in, as well as with each other. At the same time, we seem to be drifting away from each other through polarizing opinions and filter bubbles. And today, war in Europe is adding to change that will and is affecting all of us.
These times of tremendous change, uncertainty and complexity raise the urgency and provide new opportunities to change the way we relate to each other and our planet.
The Art of Hosting has always been about learning how to have meaningful conversations, to co-create and to take wiser actions together. This year, we focused on how we can bridge the divides that underlie so many of today's urgent challenges: Our disconnect to nature. Between each other. Between who we are and who we want to be. Between the more privileged and the less privileged amongst us.
Because in order to find meaningful and engaging answers to today's challenges, we need to hold together. And we need everyone’s voice. This is why in the 11th Art of Hosting Karlskrona, the following question was explored:
How might we foster collaboration to bridge the multiple divides in times of change and urgency?
In the 11th Art of Hosting Karlskrona training held from 15-18 of August 2022 in Mundekulla, a group of 48 people from more than 20 countries gathered around this question. Together, we explored how meaningful connections can bring diversity together. We practiced to co-create processes that nurture the conditions to connect and reconnect - with each other, with our planet and with who we want to be. We built capacity to bridge divides. We are glad to share with you the harvest from our inspiring journey together.
