Sunrise, welcome to this new day. It's convergence day, we are stepping ashore again. Waking up, morning swim, arriving at the campus. "Home, home, I want to go home... Over the green green hills..." *no need for putting names to the quotes here, they are by the collective (we are one ;)) After singing we do an active Meta Harvest reliving the last day from evening top morning. To check in we ask "what do I need from this day to step ashore again?" and then share answers. Interesting to see, how we learn and process in different ways. On the note of asking: how do you craft Powerful Questions? Because you know,... "you get what you ask for!" Let's apply it and interchange questions.
Next up in the flow: Pro Action Café. What question did you craft? Did something emerge yesterday that you can need some help with? Maybe in the Solo Walk, the Deep Listening Walk or in the conversations around? This is the chance to receive or give some help, which are both to be practiced. And wait a moment, Fika! Thanks Sweden! The Café is hosted detailed and beautifully, lots of interesting insights are shared by the callers. Takeaway: good hosting is nearly invisible. At lunch there is the possibility to have a chat about MSLS, the group is diverse.
The breath pattern is closing a little more and we go on to a more reflective harvest. After methodological input on the Harvesting Matrix we step into a Collective Sense-Making, harvesting tangible and intangible learnings on personal and group level.
Here the "dance between head and heart (slow and fast, think and sense, mind and feel)" becomes obvious again. Which by the way the whole group opens up for way more by now and thereby gets closer, seeing the need for both and acknowledging those qualities in each other. In the Collective Sense-Making we're getting a glimpse of understanding what AoH is: a methodology, a community, a lifestyle. "I get you now, Narayan!"
Closing the breath pattern further, we kind of summarize with the next steps template and try to find the stepping stones to step ashore again. "Host yourself" seems to be a whole island here. It's already becoming a running gag! The official end begins with a welcoming: to the community. You belong if you practice. The goodbye is easy. "Is it connection or entanglement?" - we grew connections and we can "trust". In that those connections will stay and that the practices will stay with us as well. We can take them to the "real world"!
Hugs and word for the road, swimming, a super deep conversation (thanks), lighter ones with lots of fun, shared meals, shared homes... "Tomorrow is my debriefing day. - But with whom? - With me." So this is day four now: debriefing day, integrating day, recovering day. There is a companion book to read up on AoH "if you feel like it, this is. I've been to four Art of Hosting trainings now and never read it. I learned a lot!" Learning by application, practice what you preach. It's been "juicy", thanks!
