The beautiful and intense day 2 started off with a pep talk by David preparing us to face the longest and hardest day of the training, also known to bring out the biggest changes and Aha moments. His touching stories planted seeds of inspiration in all of us to open up for those changes to take place, like a self-fulfilling prophecy. With this new space in our hearts we were taken on a meditative journey through day 1, remembering the beautiful encounters and conversations that had taken place. These memories, now fresh in mind, helped to tune us back into the group and the continuation of the training.
After the day was framed, we began with a teach on the breath pattern and were introduced to the different phases a meaningful conversation or process will go through. Some people felt most at home in the divergence phase, others enjoyed the friction of the emergence phase - also known as the groan zone, while others prefered the clarity of convergence.
Before indulging in morning fika, we studied the various mental models including living and mechanistic systems, Cynefin, and the Chaordic Path. While at times hierarchal structure, control and experts may be necessary, we nonetheless always have to value and accept the interconnectedness amongst individuals. As Phil put it, living systems are always operating.
Now full of energy from coffee and cookies we stepped into a very personal phase of the day, the Appreciative Inquiry Trios. Sharing our stories in small groups we created a common root-system which we then shared back with the mother of all methods, circle practice.
Lunchbreak: awesome, nothing more to add.
We began the afternoon with a deep-dive into the question of how systems shift, exploring the Two Loops model. Letting go of the old can be so difficult because we may have invested a lot in creating that system. Hence paying attention to hospice and composting is extremely important to allow an old system to end with grace and to bridge the old with the new.
Then we were invited by the sun, fresh air, the beautiful Karlskrona forests and sea to float around and listen to what is going on inside on a solo walk. Nature too can offer beautiful reflections.
Afterwards we were introduced to Theory U. Through story, we journey from one side of the U understanding the importance of observing, letting go, and presencing, and up the other side of letting come, prototyping and performing. With presence in the room, we explored a deep listening exercise, attempting to move from empathic listening to generative listening in which I see myself and the world in the person I listen to.
The yummie Thai-food dinner offered room for chatting and relaxing and produced a lot of garbage.
Now it was time for the climax of the day - the event long talked about and prepared for - the collective story harvest. In candle lit circles, we sat to listen to and hold space for eleven wonderful and extremely personal stories. This long day ended with a beautifully emotional and fruitful harvesting round. Tears are the rainbows of the soul.

Part 1: Tell about a time when you contributed in bridging a divide. What Happened? How did you contribute? What enabled success?
Part 2 (Harvest): In order to bridge divides, what individual and collective capacities do we need?
