A mantra I’ve heard and felt many times in this training since Day 1. It is a day when the emergence began and a beautiful chaordic encounter of 63 people took place in Karlskrona. I felt a big release of many months preparation for this moment as well as an anticipation of something beautiful to bloom.
The first practice of the day started with a ‘football’ demonstrating and preparing for the ‘chaordic path’ which was explained and introduced later. It wasn’t the first time I’ve heard this practice and I’ve tried myself to incorporate it in a workshop though every time something more fascinates me in this practice; i loved this time how people connected with this practice and compare it with dance, parenting and a quote that stayed with me was ‘Life loves to grow in new forms’. This first day was a lot of landing and arriving to the space so many new concepts were introduced: the landscape with the agenda and lot of blank spaces for people to fill with words and drawings of what are we doing each day, the parking lot with ideas that emerge from the sessions and conversations, village news, the tree of Art of hosting with methods and practices and check in and check out as fundamental pieces of each day. Art of Hosting community is all about relationships and bonding which I saw and felt a lot in the first day with the ‘Story Trios’; I got connected with my groups and their stories and there was a moment of trust and safety to open up yourself and hold others in their journeys. And we closed the day with the explanation of Sign ups and coaching sessions: because Art of Hosting is a space where you are invited and welcomed to practice, try out and learn from experience.
There were spots and workshops participants were invited to co-design and co-facilitate while the hosting team would be coaching them in the evenings. When the sign up paper was on the wall I was amazed on how people run to catch a spot and learn by practicing. This inspired me to also add my name in a spot and gave me a lot of energy of what is next to happen.

Question for storyteller: What was a moment when you were in one of those domains (in the Chaordic Path model) with other people that helped shaping who you are today?
Supporting questions to help you craft your story: What brought you there? Who was there with you and what roles did they play? Was there any conflict? What was a turning point? What allowed your transformation or growth to become who you are today?
