Caroline Völler"Only together we can solve complexity - Art of Hosting can give you tools for collaborative emergence for tackling these complex problems.”
Caroline comes from Germany. Even though her background is in Communication Sciences and she worked in advertising and sustainability communication for some years, she never learned the tools for having these deeper conversations on a professional or societal level. She is interested in interconnections between systems, as well as between the body and mind on a more individual level. She values the power of community, connection, and of learning from each other, as well as in strengthening our connection to nature. In her personal life, she tries to foster these connections through food, yoga, and being in nature, but she would love to increase these connections on a societal level as a strong leverage point for shifting towards a sustainable society. Joining the Art of Hosting organizing team, Caroline wants to be able to host and hold meaningful conversations, and co-create solutions in a shared space as much needed in a world that is becoming more complex. She also is excited to learn about tools and methods to facilitate these conversations. |

Currently working as a finance project leader at Volvo Construction Equipment, she is involved in product development projects that support transition to the sustainable construction equipment industry. Margot Wendling“Come along. Experience:) Enjoy<3 And share!”
Margot comes from France and studied life sciences engineering in Switzerland. In parallel to her studies, she quickly raised her awareness on social and environmental challenges. This led her to take an active place in different associations, the internal school policy and in other local and international projects that she was interested in. She then succeeded in working during two years for her previous school Faculty with the aim of contributing to transform this education and research faculty towards sustainability. Finally, to challenge the knowledge she developed in the field, she is pursuing another master degree in strategic leadership towards sustainability in Karlskrona. But, of course this description is far from fully describing her whole person. Former rhythmic gymnast, versatile dancer, militant, games fan, amateur photographer, animal enthusiast and people lover are some of her additional facets that you might discover while getting in contact with her:) It might not be a surprise if Margot tells you that humankind is facing major social and environmental challenges. In order to tackle these problems, serious and deep conversations with various actors need to be taken at different scales urgently. But it seems that we, as humans, are super bad at having such discussions. What if the reason was not that “humans are inherently self-interested and therefore not capable of having such discussions“ but rather that “we have simply never had the opportunity to learn how to hold meaningful and constructive discussions”? Margot guesses that there is only one way to find it out and that is exactly why practicing the Art of Hosting makes so much sense for her. |
